Hurricane Dorian Supply Drop Off Location
Many of you are already aware, there has been catastrophic damage to the area we love so much. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been affected or is still being effected by Hurricane Dorian. We will be open for business, Wednesday September 4, and we will be accepting donations to support the local residents in the area. Our shop address is 1140 NE 7th Ave, Unit #6, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304.
If your wondering what could be donated, here is a list of items that have been requested:
- Bleach to deal with mold and infection issues
- First aid kits with Bacitracin, Neosporin, Polysporin
- Bug spray and nets to sleep under
- Tarps
- Bivy sacks and tube tents
- Nalgene water bottles as bacteria won’t grow
- Wet blocks to start fires and waterproof matches
- Water filters like what katadyn water filter and Mircopur tabs to kill bacteria in drinking water and drink mix that has electrolytes
- Gloves and camp soap
- Rain gear and hats
- Food wise
- High protein items with peanut butter and things like cliff bars
- Aseptic packed items like MRE and we use the flat spam a lot when we hike for safety and it’s light.
- Some candy like peppermints helps keep sugar in the systems cheers folks up
